Ruto Calls on Opposition to Stop Demo Threats and Address Issues in Parliament

President William Ruto has called on leaders of the Azimio political movement to cease their protests against his government and instead collaborate with his administration in resolving challenges faced by Kenyan citizens.

He emphasized that he was prepared to work with all elected officials, including MCAs, MPs, women representatives, senators, and governors, to develop plans for the country’s progress.

Ruto stated that demonstrations would not benefit the Kenyan population and urged the opposition to address any grievances through parliamentary channels rather than causing chaos and destruction.

He proposed that the nominated teams of MPs from both the Azimio and Kenya Kwanza groups engage in bilateral talks to resolve the issues raised by the opposition.

Ruto emphasized that Kenyans want development, not demonstrations, and called on leaders to concentrate on addressing the issue of unemployment, reducing the cost of living, and executing projects that would benefit the country’s citizens.

He also suggested that the opposition should prepare for the 2027 elections, rather than engaging in fruitless activities. Ruto assured Kenyans that his government would work with them to achieve development and improve livelihoods.
