Ruto requests that the court allow him to observe Raila accessing servers.

In light of his intended server access, William Ruto, the 5th President-elect, has asked the court to allow Raila to testify. Ruto claims that if Raila is allowed to access the servers without the assistance of his opponent’s agents, something will inevitably go wrong.

Allowing his company to run the process, according to Ruto, will increase transparency. This is in response to a Supreme Court ruling ordering a recount of votes from 15 polling locations to determine whether the tallies at those locations were correct.

According to a report in the Nation newspaper, Ruto wants his representatives to be present when Raila and the team have time to evaluate the servers. The recount’s purpose is to ensure that the votes were correctly counted. According to Ruto, having representation from both sides ensures that the process moves forward without stumbling blocks.

Among the polling stations that will be managed are those in counties considered to be Ruto’s strongholds. The stations are located in Nyandarua, Kericho, Kiambu, and Nandi counties. The IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati and Kenya Kwanza, according to Raila and his staff, planned to rig the election.
