According to political expert Michael Ndonye, if William Ruto is elected president, the Mt. Kenya region may be the same one that sends him home in 2027. According to Ndonye, the area may vote for someone else in 2027 and may even choose a member of its own family, possibly even the outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta’s child or a relative. He believes that they chose Ruto on August 9 because they did not have a candidate of their own, but that by 2027, they will have done so, and that candidate may turn out to be a relative of the departing Head of State.
As a result, the dean of Kabarak University stated that he is pleased with the region’s decision to make him the winner this time, but he will be disappointed if they prevent him from winning the next general election. He also predicted that Uhuru’s prediction of a president from a different tribe would be fulfilled in 2027.
