Kenya Kwanza Coalition is currently in Embu County, where they are attending an economic forum and meeting with residents before beginning their day of campaigning. Dr Alfred Mutua, the governor of Machakos County and the leader of the Maendeleo Chap Chap party, is among the leaders who are currently in Embu County to sell Kenya Kwanza coalition agendas.
Dr Alfred Mutua delivered a powerful speech in which he accused Azimio coalition leaders of undermining Kalonzo Musyoka. He went on to say that he saw Kalonzo Musyoka grazing his cows on television at his home in Yatta. Furthermore, he stated that Azimio leaders cannot be trusted, which is why he changed his tune to come and support William Ruto for president.
