Updates: Raila is more popular than DP Ruto in the latest presidential poll, and ODM is more popular than UDA as well.

In the most recent presidential opinion poll conducted by Trends & Insights for Africa, former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga has surpassed Deputy President William Ruto (Tifa).

Following a long period in which deputy president William Ruto led almost all political polls, Raila Odinga is now slightly ahead of the second in command.

According to the poll, Raila is still the most popular candidate in Nairobi County, with 41%, 48% in Makueni, and 50% in Mombasa.

He is closely followed by Deputy President William Ruto of Kenya Kwanza, who has a 26% approval rating in Nairobi and a 32% approval rating in Mombasa.

This is likely to send Deputy President William Ruto back to the drawing board in order to ensure that he regains his lot boost.

Most of the regions where former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga has taken the lead are also places where the second in command was leading in previous polls.

Dr Ruto, on the other hand, has a large lead in Murang’a County, with a popularity rating of 71 percent, while Mr Odinga comes in second with a rating of 16 percent. Governor Mwangi Wa Iria is third with 1%.
