Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka was not allowed to speak during Former President Mwai Kibaki’s send-off service in Nyeri County, according to Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua, because Raila Odinga had instructed the organizers not to give him the opportunity.
Rigathi Gachagua told mourners at Johnston Muthama’s home in Machakos County that former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka was treated with disdain. Rigathi Gachagua took a breather. A question: why was Francis Muthaura, who was ranked lower than Kalonzo Musyoka in the late Mwai Kibaki’s government, given the opportunity to speak while Kalonzo was denied?
The Member of Parliament for Vocal Mathira urged Kalonzo Musyoka to leave the Azimio La Umoja Coalition and join the winning team, Kenya Kwanza.
Following Kalonzo Musyoka’s declaration that he will not settle for anything other than the Deputy President position in the Azimio La Umoja Coalition, there has been unrest within the Azimio La Umoja Coalition, which Rigathi Gachagua believes is the reason Kalonzo Musyoka was denied a chance to speak during Former President Kanika’s send off.
