As the country prepares for the general election in August 2022, many Kenyans expect the presidential race to be a two-horse race between ODM party leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto, but neither of the two top leaders has mentioned his preferred running mate.
Many people in Raila Odinga’s camp have tipped Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Peter Kenneth, Peter Munya, and others as preferred running mates, making it difficult for Baba to choose one of them.
While this is true, Raila’s close ally Ledama Olekina has come out to urge all potential Raila Odinga running mates to show their strength in rallying votes across the country in order to be chosen to deputize the former Prime Minister.
“Whoever wishes to deputize @RailaOdinga should appear.”
