President Uhuru Kenyatta has been encouraged by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru to repair his relationship with Deputy President William Ruto before stepping down.
Waiguru, who is running for re-election in August on a UDA ticket, suggested on Tuesday in Kirinyaga County that President Kenyatta owes the DP because he played a key role in getting the Head-of-State into State House.
Should the Head of State fail to do so, Mt. Kenya inhabitants who are strongly behind DP Ruto’s presidential campaign, according to Waiguru, will abandon President Kenyatta after his tenure expires in August.
