Malala now apologizes to Raila and explains why he acted the way he did.

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala now admits that supporting and working with ODM leader Raila Odinga, with whom he had a close relationship two years ago, was a mistake.

He was so close to the former Premier that he seemed to prefer him to his own party’s leader, Musalia Mudavadi, that he and Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi were labeled ANC dissidents.

He has since apologized for collaborating with Raila and asked Kenyans to forgive him. He goes on to say that he was mistakenly with the ODM leader and was politically blinded at the time, but that he has since recovered.

He thanked Mudavadi for accepting him back into his inner circle and into the ANC party in an interview with the Sunday Standard. He went on to say that the former Vice President had helped him get back on track.

I was politically blinded, and I’d like to apologize to Kenyans. Mudavadi welcomed me back to the party and directed me in the right direction, which I am currently doing. “Raila’s philosophy does not resonate well with the bulk of the youth’s views,” the fiery and young legislator is quoted as saying.

He is also one of the leaders currently campaigning against Raila, particularly in Western Kenya, and has decided that Deputy President William Ruto is the greatest candidate for Kenya’s future president.

He claims that, aside from the president, Raila will not be able to win any political seats in Western Kenya, owing to the strong presence of the ANC and Ford Kenya parties, as well as the recent admission of the newly created DAP-K.

“In the last election, ODM had a poor showing. We defeated them in Kakamega, and despite running a presidential candidate, they only managed to secure two seats in the House of Representatives in 12 constituencies. The MPs who defected to ODM and DAP-K would be voted out, as DAP-K is eating into ODM’s support base “He is also quoted.
