This year’s general elections will take place on August 9th. Many politicians have already begun early campaigning across the country in an attempt to persuade voters to vote for them. President Uhuru Kenyatta’s two terms in office are coming to an end. According to the constitution, he will not run for re-election a third time.
Deputy President William Samoei Ruto, leader of the Orange Democratic Movement Raila Odinga, Wiper Party chief Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, and others have indicated interest in the presidential campaign.

It’s only a matter of time before they decide to join Odinga’s Alliance, in my opinion. They may do so before the Kenyan Election Commission announces the formal campaign schedule in May.
