Sakaja is a firm person. The authorities of dictatorship cautioned most leaders close to Uhuru and Raila Odinga not to attend June Ruto’s wedding. Sakaja, on the other hand, is clear that they were not worried or distracted when they decided to attend June Ruto’s wedding, despite the circumstances.
Sakaja stated emphatically that it is disgraceful to witness anyone associated with William Ruto being fought over nothing in the run-up to the 2022 general election using public resources. He is clear that the government, acting on Uhuru’s orders, has been hostile to Ruto, even funding leaders not to attend June Ruto’s wedding, despite the fact that she is not a politician.
Sakaja, on the other hand, is clear that such deceptive politics will fail since they were committed to work together as a team of ANC, UDA, and Ford Kenya. Sakaja makes it plain that as a Musalia team, they were eager to build an alliance that would form the next administration without fear of being intimidated.
