Deputy President William Ruto began a long day of road trips throughout Nairobi today, stopping at several locations to address the public. While speaking to a crowd gathered around him in Lang’ta town, the DP astonished Kenyans with what he said to a man who blew a trumpet beside him.
Ruto had said something, and the man became so enthralled that he began to blow his trumpet loudly. He asked him to hold his breath until he finished speaking.
“Wewe ngojea na tarumpeta (You wait with your trumpet),”
Ruto told the ecstatic fan standing next to him. He promised the residents a variety of things, including improvements to the area’s water and sewerage systems.
