A 24-year-old woman was hospitalized on Monday after attacking and killing her two-year-old daughter in a Kitengela hospital. The horrifying attack was captured on video by neighbors who rushed to the scene after hearing screams from the woman’s house. The woman, who is a fourth-year commerce student at a local university, stabbed and dismembered the toddler in what is suspected to be violence linked to mental illness.
During the attack, the young mother was naked and violently attacking her daughter, while neighbors watched in horror. The woman collapsed after the attack and was taken to the hospital. In an interview, she said that she hates herself and has suffered a lot with her child, and that was the reason for the attack.
