High Court extends temporary orders blocking gazettement of CEO for Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA)

The High Court has extended temporary orders stopping Industrialization Cabinet Secretary, Moses Kuria, from gazetting Ezekiel Otieno as CEO of the Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) until further orders of the court.

Justice Mugure Thande also consolidated three cases challenging Otieno’s appointment.

The petitions were filed by Isack Guyo, Willies Oloo, and Duncan Odero, with Guyo alleging that Otieno has serious integrity issues and was adversely mentioned in a case involving the loss of millions at the Youth Enterprise Fund.

Odero also accused Otieno of being involved in corruption. The consolidated cases will be listed for highlighting of submissions on June 12.
