Cupid’s arrow strikes in Parliament: MPs announce plans to tie the knot

In parliament, love has struck between two MPs who are spouses, Mathira MP Eric wa Mumbi and Murang’a Woman Representative Betty Maina.

Although they are currently living together informally, they are planning to formalize their relationship.

The event will be marked by a bride price negotiation that will see Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua leading a delegation from Mathira as Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro hosts Ms Maina’s delegation in Murang’a.

Both MPs have had setbacks in their past relationships, but their determination and focus on their goals brought them together.

They have each praised each other, with Mr. Wa Mumbi describing Ms Maina as “sweet, lovely and kind.”
