Raila Odinga, the leader of the One Kenya Coalition Party, claimed yesterday that four Venezuelans, including a person identified as Jose Carmago, who was mentioned during the Supreme Court hearings of the 2022 presidential election petition, are in Kenya attempting to tamper with the poll servers.
Speaking at a rally in Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi, Odinga alleged that the individuals are currently residing at the Maasai Mara Lodge, where they are continuing with their “illegal operations.”
Odinga said that the Venezuelans have met with Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) Chairman Ezra Chiloba and former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati.
He also stated that his team was prepared to engage with President William Ruto’s team of negotiators so long as their demands are met, which include the opening of the election servers for audit, reconstitution of the IEBC, lowering the cost of living, respect for multi-party democracy, and the withdrawal of Eldas MP Adan Keynan from the government’s team for the talks.
Odinga announced that the Azimio Coalition would resume anti-government protests next week should Ruto fail to heed their demands.
