Mudavadi dismisses demands for verification of presidential election results

According to Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, the demands made by the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party to open the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers for verification of the August 2022 presidential poll results are not truthful.

Mudavadi believes that the Azimio wing, led by Raila Odinga, is misleading Kenyans into thinking that the elections were not free and fair.

Mudavadi pointed out that the Supreme Court had authorized the opening of servers to verify the results in 2022, and Azimio’s lawyers had accompanied the Registrar of the Supreme Court through the exercise.

Mudavadi also criticized Azimio’s stance on going back to the streets after Ramadan, saying that Odinga and his troops had disregarded the Constitution and the rule of law and become enemies of progress.

He called for genuine dialogue that would benefit the common citizen and not for self-interest and political gain.

Additionally, he revealed that President William Ruto would soon visit Vihiga County to commission and open several development projects.
