Kenyan Ambassador to Germany denies reports of eviction over rent dues

Kenya’s Ambassador to Germany Tom Amolo has refuted claims that he was evicted from his residence over rent arrears.

He clarified that the Kenyan government owns the house, hence eviction is not possible, and that reports on his eviction were misleading.

The statement comes amidst revelations that some Kenyan diplomats had not received salaries for six months.

The National Assembly Committee on Defence Intelligence and Foreign Affairs expressed concern over the situation, citing that the delay could bring unimaginable embarrassment to the country.

CS Alfred Mutua confirmed that there were initial payment delays but all Kenyan diplomats had been paid.
