How Ruto’s First Easter in Sugoi Since Becoming President Unfolded

During the Easter holiday, President William Ruto spent his time shuttling between his Sugoi and Koilel farms while also attending to his national duties as Head of State. The President spent time farming and was seen supervising the planting of maize and tending to his livestock. Photos and videos of him in action have gone viral on social media.

President Ruto also took time to worship and attended a Sunday service at AIC Fellowship Eldoret, accompanied by his family and nominated MP Joseph Iraya Wainaina. After the service, he drove to his Sugoi farm and later socialized with the public and hotel workers at the prestigious Eka Hotel.

According to village elder Isaac Biwott, the President has been on his farm since Friday and his presence has been an inspiration to the workers. He added that the President has a lean convoy and goes about his duties unnoticed.

Speaking at AIC Fellowship, President Ruto said he decided to spend Easter at home to make a contribution to food production in the country and eventually lower the cost of living. He also stated his intention to double the productivity of his farm this year.
