Kenyans have reacted on social media to the recently concluded Kenyan election as well as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission’s declaration of William Ruto as the President-elect.
Some have criticized Raila Odinga, the Azimio la Umoja flag bearer, for filing a petition in court to challenge President-elect William Ruto’s victory, which was declared by IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati on Monday 15.
A man from Naivasha whose name has not been revealed has allegedly admitted that he is a fervent supporter of Raila Odinga; however, he has stated that the former Prime Minister should now retire from politics due to his inability to win elections. “Sasa pia yeye akubali na awachie Williams Ruto kazi,” he said. “Aende na aende Kabisa,” said the man.
The man has stated that he will not and will never vote for him, even if the Supreme Court considers holding a presidential runoff election.
“I am Raila’s number one supporter, but I would like to tell him that I have voted for him four times. Allow him to admit defeat now. Allow him to give Ruto the opportunity to serve Kenyans “said the man.
