After the IEBC moved the announcement of the Narok governorship results to the National Tallying Entrance at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi, UDA party candidate Patrick Ole Ntutu was allegedly confirmed as the governor-elect.
Ole Ntutu took to social media to confirm that he had been declared the winner by the electoral commission. This came after the Narok County Returning Officer announced on Sunday, August 14, that the election had been moved to Nairobi due to unrest from supporters of the two opposing parties.
His supporters quickly took to social media to congratulate Ole Ntutu on his alleged victory. This publication, however, cannot confirm authoritatively that the videos and photos of Ole Ntutu’s alleged confirmation are genuine.
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kicphumba Murkomen was among those who came out to congratulate Ole Ntutu on his alleged victory. Murkomen wished Ole Ntutu well and encouraged him to continue serving the Narok people as their next governor.
Moses Kuria, the outgoing Gatundu South MP, agreed.
