William Ruto: DP’s speech is interrupted by a suspected phone snatcher, who causes a commotion

After appearing on the main dais at Deputy President William Ruto’s rally in Bungoma, the man almost started a fight. The vice president watched in obvious confusion as the security on standby took charge of the situation and forcibly escorted him away. The assailant attempted to take someone’s phone, but his attempts were thwarted by the security guards’ steadfastness.

Deputy President William Ruto was speaking at a political event in Bungoma town when a man nearly interrupted him.

On Friday, July 29, the vice president visited the western county and spoke at a number of rallies before a sizable crowd at Posta grounds.

The individual produced a disturbance at the location when he tried to yank a phone from its owner, who was seated on the main dais behind the podium.

The deputy president turned around to observe as the security on standby surrounded the individual and started a scuffle.

A little while later, the man vanished from the area, and he continued. While Raila Odinga and his supporters were campaigning in Machakos county for the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential nomination in May of this year, a similar occurrence occurred. Along with other Azimio leaders, Raila was attended by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Governor Charity Ngilu, and Machakos gubernatorial hopefuls Wavinya Ndeti and Nzioka Waita.

There is a riot However, Raila was forced to end his speech after chaos broke out at the dais when he was addressing his fans at the Makadara retail center in Athi River.

The conflict was between those supporting Waita’s candidacy and those backing Wavinya. A sitting area MP is said to have physically tried to stop Waita from approaching Raila at the podium, which is what allegedly caused the brawl to break out. The commotion came to a head in a fist fight.

Act of Raila’s bodyguard

After the altercation at the podium, the security team for the opposition leader wasted no time in getting to work. The bodyguards swiftly and with increased care surrounded the former prime minister after emerging from the crowd in a matter of seconds. The first security detail was seen running to the podium as soon as the chaos started to protect his boss. He was joined by other assistants, and they surrounded him and Ngilu in a circle. Ngilu can be seen hiding behind Raila in a video clip.
