Hon Moses Kuria, a Gatundu South member of Parliament and staunch supporter of Deputy President William Ruto, has claimed that his life is in danger and has asked IG Mutyambai to provide him with adequate security, along with others who have received threats from President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kuria took to social media earlier today to question why Mutyambai is only providing strong security to UDA gubernatorial candidate Hon Kimani Wamatangi and not other candidates, including Governer James Nyoro, who is a Jubilee Candidate.
He has asked Mutyambai for equal treatment and adequate security for those whose lives are in danger.
“Dear Inspector General Mutyambai, while your boss President Uhuru Kenyatta is threatening my life, you are providing police in uniform in three land rovers under the command of an OCS to my competitor Kimani wa Matangi for all his meetings,” Hon Moses Kuria said. “It happened on Wednesday in Lari’s Mungere and yesterday in Kiambu Town’s Ngegu. This level of security is not even afforded to Governor James Nyoro. Treat us all equally, especially those of us whose lives are in danger as a result of Uhuru Kenyatta’s threats “He continued.
Moses Kuria is running for governor of Kiambu against Kimani Wamatangi, James Nyoro, Wainaina Jungle, and Hon William Kabogo.
