Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate of the Azimio la Umoja party, has asked the IEBC to explain the forms that were allegedly printed to create the identical form. Raila suggested that IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati convene a meeting with the four presidential candidates, Professor George Wajakoya of the Roots party, Mwaura of the Agano party, William Ruto of the UDA party, and Raila Odinga of the Azimio la Umoja party.

The coalition now wants the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to convene a meeting with all four presidential candidates to discuss the issue, claiming that it jeopardizes the credibility of the August 9 elections.
Mr Odinga stated in a letter signed by his chief legal advisor that the “anomaly” was discovered by two of its representatives who traveled to Athens with IEBC commissioners to monitor the printing of presidential ballot papers.
“Because it has a separate and distinct serial numbering, it is clear that Book 2 of 2 was intended to be a copy of Book 1 of 2. “Book 2 of 2 is not intended to be a continuation of the declaration in Book 1 of 2, but rather a separate and parallel result declaration form,” Mr Mwangi explained.
