Deputy President Dr William Samoei Arap Ruto and his camp have widely referred to both the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Movement presidential flag bearer Hon Raila Amolo Odinga and his running mate Senior Counsel Martha Karua as government projects. This is because retiring incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta decided to support them ahead of the fourth general election, which will be held in August of this year.
Senior Counsel Martha Karua broke her silence on current projects by sending a late-night killer message to Kenyans. According to Citizen TV Kenya, Senior Counsel Martha Karua acknowledged that she and Hon Raila Amolo Odinga are projects, but she was quick to point out that they are projects of the Kenyan people, not the government. Hon Raila Amolo Odinga will compete with Deputy President Dr William Samoei Arap Ruto to succeed retiring President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Martha Karua: We are both projects, but the people’s project. The council is chaired by President Uhuru, but Raila Odinga is the overall chairman of Azimio.” Citizen TV Kenya tweeted this.
