Kenyans are now counting down the days until they go to the polls to elect new leaders to lead them for the next five years. This is a panicky time, when those with high expectations are terrified of what the election results will bring.
Raila is one of the candidates vying for the presidency. Many parties, including the ODM and Jubilee, have backed him. Raila’s Azimio la Umoja coalition toured Kakamega county for their campaigns on Friday. Raila was accompanied to Kakamega by COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli.
Because Atwoli was his hometown, he had an advantage in campaigning for Raila among his people. He urged people not to embarrass him by voting for Ruto on August 9. He also claimed that Raila has all of the votes in Western. His statement coincides with Martha Karua’s, who stated that they would win all of the votes in Western.
“Azimio has all of the votes in Western Kenya. Please do not embarrass me and do not follow Ruto’s words that work is work “Atwoli was heard saying.
