Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate of Azimio La Umoja, has predicted that Kenya Kwanza candidate William Ruto will receive no more than 35% of the vote in the August election.
According to the Star, Raila claims victory on August 9 and claims to have received 65 percent of the vote.
He has stated that this is why, contrary to popular belief, he will not boycott the election. They are perplexed as to why he would ignore an election that he is certain to win.
The ODM party’s leader, who is no stranger to presidential elections, claims that all he is doing is warning the IEBC not to play any clever games in August, because he and his team will not tolerate it.
“We have warned the IEBC not to rig the elections, but we will not boycott them. We will not let it happen in the United States.” He has been cited as an authority by The Star.
He made the above remarks while campaigning in Kirinyaga County, which also happens to be Martha Karua’s home county.
Karua urged Kenyans in his address to put their trust in Raila as the country’s leader, arguing that the Azimio La Umoja administration would bring economic growth and stability due to Raila’s wisdom and sobriety.
She went on to say that Raila is motivated not by hatred and vengeance, but by a genuine desire to save Kenya.
Raila is trustworthy because he is responsible, sober, and mature.
“Our leader is more experienced, so we’re not driven by anger,” the former Justice Cabinet Minister explained.
