People have reacted differently to Mr. Lenolkulal’s position. Some UDA supporters in Samburu have chastised him for siding with the Azimio One Kenya team.
Mr. Lenolkulal, who defected from the ruling Jubilee Party in April to join DP Ruto’s UDA, was set to run against Dr. Lelegwe in the August election. DP Ruto, who announced the deal on April 5, said Mr Lenolkulal’s decision was sound after negotiations between the two.
