Because of the popularity of Professor George Luchiri Wajackoyah of the Roots Party of Kenya, the allegedly two-horse race has turned into a three-horse race. The roots party leader appears to be at odds with the church as a result of his marijuana legalization manifesto.
However, religious leaders spoke out against the aspiring president’s manifesto, calling it unethical. Wajackoyah has since taken to the media to criticize the clergy members who oppose him.
According to The Star, the Roots party’s leader stated, “Those bishops have not read our manifesto and they just go around talking about mambo ya moshi.” He also stated that the men of God should be told that Kenya is not theirs. The professor also claimed that some churches eat with stolen money. Despite this, he urged churches to combat bad behavior in society and secure jobs for the unemployed.
This comes just a day after Catholic Bishops urged Kenyans to disregard the Roots Party of Kenya’s bhang manifesto, claiming that it is immoral and unethical to society.
