Alfred Mutua, the governor of Machakos and the party leader of Maendeleo Chap Chap, has found himself on a tightrope after some of his allies disagreed with his decision to join forces with William Ruto in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance. As a result, Kibwezi West parliamentary aspirant Mwengi Mutuse stated that the majority of celebration participants will support Raila Odinga’s presidential bid, despite the fact that they were not consulted when Mutua decamped Azimio to Dp William Ruto.
Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and other top leaders from the Ukambani area have urged residents to support Azimio la Umoja one Kenya coalition flagbearer Raila Odinga’s Presidential bid for the third time.
Mr Mutuse, Mutua’s close ally, stated that Machakos governor joined the Deputy President William Ruto-led coalition without consulting the majority party members, and as a result, they will not support his decision, preferring to remain in Azimio and support Raila’s presidency.
