Mathira Hon Rigathi Gachagua, a Member of Parliament, has informed of plans to reward police officers and administration chiefs who defy Ministry of Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi and PS Karanja Kibicho’s orders as new information becomes available.
According to MP Gachagua, he has informed the police that those who take political sides should be intimidated, and that those in the United Democratic Alliance Party should remain strong and not fear.
The Mathira MP has told the Police and the Chief that they should listen to CS Matiangi’s orders but not act on them if they believe the orders favor one political party over another, and that if they are fired, they will be reinstated if DP Ruto wins.
“You are not required to obey their orders. The elections are in about 67 days. If they dismiss you, the Kenya Kwanza government will reabsorb you…,” Mr. Gachagua has said, urging them not to abandon the United Democratic Alliance due to threats.
