Kipruto Arap Kirwa’s decision to leave Kenya Kwanza, according to UDA chairman Caleb Kositany, is insignificant and has no impact in Kenya Kwanza.
Speaking on Citizen TV, Kositany stated that Kipruto’s decision was a huge mistake.
Kipruto announced his retirement as UDA vice-chairman and joining Azimio yesterday in Bungoma, during Azimio’s campaign.
Kositany has also stated that Kipruto was inactive on a national level, so many people were unaware that he was his vice. As a result, his departure had no significant impact on the UDA, and they continued on.
“Kipruto Kirwa’s departure from UDA is insignificant; he has gone with one vote; his vote,” he said.
Kipruto, according to him, had not shown any signs of leaving UDA prior to his abrupt departure.
He has slammed Kipruto’s decision, calling it a blunder.
Surprisingly, Kositany has stated that, according to sources, the main person who convinced Kirwa to join UDA was Mukhisa Kitui. According to Kositany, Mukhisa told Kipruto that Azimio was a winning team and that he should join them.
