The unveiling of Nark Kenya leader Hon Martha Karua as the Azimio designate deputy President by ODM leader Rt Hon Raila Odinga has altered the tone of succession politics, particularly in the Mt. Kenya region, where the former prime minister is expected to reap large dividends.
Karua has led other Azimio leaders in successful rallies on two consecutive days, beginning with her home county of Kirinyaga, where she was greeted heroically, and ending with his Meru rally today. She has received support from other prominent local politicians such as Sabina Chege, Kanini Kega, and CS Peter Munya.
