The political temperature in the country appears to be rising, as politicians race against the clock with less than 100 days until the August 9th general elections. Kenya Kwanza, led by Dp Ruto, and Azimio la Umoja, led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, are the two leading presidential alliances.
The political rivalry between COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli and Kenya’s Deputy President, His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto, does not appear to be going away anytime soon; the two have been exchanging harsh words for quite some time.
During the Azimio rally, Francis Atwoli allegedly claimed that DP William Ruto’s sister, Philippa, was her girlfriend when she was in Wareng high school in Uasin county. Atwoli also claimed to be a thief.
Most people have condemned Atwoli’s sentiments, urging him to respect the deputy president’s family.
