“Kenya wants a president who is not being told what to do all the time but who also makes his own decision.” Says Alfred Mutua
The Machakos Governor and leader of Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) party Alfred Mutua has officially decamped from Azimio la Umoja alliance citing unfairness and that the alliance leadership is excluding them from decision making table, he has also disclosed that he has taken the matter to court for a grant to move out and whether MCC is allowed or not they still are out of azimio la umoja,
Alfred Mutua, has also disclosed that five other parties are in a limbo as they are yet to move out of Azimio la Umoja out of not being satisfied, saying he has had doubts over the agreements they signed because they were not shown the documents, though he wrote to the alliance and the registrar three times, Azimio la Umoja has never responded.
Clearing the air, Mutua has said that he has nothing against the Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) Kalonzo Musyoka leader saying that Kalonzo too has his own problems.
Mutua who was a former government spokesperson says his experience then taught him to read in between the lines, he added that he cannot rely on promises of sorting the issues after election or being told you will be on the table.
Kenya kwanza according to Chama cha Maendeleo is offering free zoning, meaning all aspirants of all parties will be in the ballot come 9th August 2021.
Most of the dissatisfaction from Azimio la Umoja is being denied funding, Chama cha Maendeleo has been excluded from the line up, and promised a discussion after election.
