President Uhuru is set to leave politics at the end of his second and final term, so Kenyans are required by law to vote in the August elections to choose his successor.
Previously, Elections telescopes have been orbiting Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga and the self-proclaimed chief hustler campaigner William Ruto, who have been declared the frontrunners in their courtesy of Political statues.
The Mount Kenya region has been transformed into a battleground, with reports indicating that the region will determine who will succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta. Raila Odinga only needs 40% of Mt Kenya votes to win the presidency, whereas DP Ruto needs close to 80%.
Today, Communication Advisor Baraka Muluka broke his silence on Raila’s candidacy, which has caused tension and distress in the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance, with others threatening to leave the coalition. He has now warned Raila not to pick Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as his running mate ahead of the August election, claiming that he will not win Mt Kenya votes.
“If the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition chooses Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as his running mate ahead of the August elections, they should forget about Mt Kenya West votes,” says Barack Muluka (Communication Advisor)
