“A man slashes his sister-in-law to death in Homa Bay,” wrote Nation media on its official Facebook page.

The victim, Rose Atieno, died from excessive bleeding, according to the police report, and her body was taken to the Rachuonyo South Sub-county hospital mortuary.

The victim married her attacker’s brother six months ago, and it is believed that she had disagreements with her brother-in-law, which may have prompted the attack.

According to the neighbors, the suspect’s wife fled, prompting him to accuse his brother’s wife of requesting that she abandon him. When his brother left for work, he attacked her, chopped off her left hand, and left her to bleed to death.
