Confirming his decoration to Mwai Kibaki he disclosed that The current president of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta has been a great student of Mwai Kibaki, terming the former vice president to the second President of Kenya the late Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi as a person who laid a firm foundation as far as education , infrastructure and an economical architect goes, saying Kibaki sowed the seed and laid the foundation as to which the fourth president of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta build the expansive, elaborate and extensive infrastructure used today.
Ruto said that Kibaki`s legacy is a shadow and influence of what is going to become of the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya come the 9th August, 2022 General election in Kenya.
Kenya having lost two of her former presidents, that is the second president of Kenya, Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi who passed on 4th February 2020 at Nairobi Hospital and was accorded a state funeral by being buried in his home in Kabarak Nakuru County, while the demise of Kibaki came two years later and was laid to rest in his home in Othaya, Nyeri county. Ruto said he takes pride with how the Kenyan government takes care of their leaders in office, retirement and death.
