Even as the late president Mwai Kibaki’s grandson snubbed former prime minister and ODM leader Raila Odinga’s greetings earlier today at Othaya, where Kibaki’s burial is taking place, it was a bad image and an embarrassing moment.
According to the video, which has since gone viral on social media platforms, Raila Odinga, after paying his last respects to the late former President Mwai Kibaki, went on to greet the deceased’s family and offer condolences.
However, the deceased’s grandson ignored Raila Odinga’s hand while turning away from the camera and Raila Odinga’s face. Raila, on the other hand, was unconcerned and proceeded to take his seat.
Kibaki’s burial ceremony is scheduled to conclude at 4 p.m., after which he will be laid to rest at his village home in Munyange, Othaya constituency. Kibaki passed away on Friday.
