The Leaders Who Will Be Questioned For The Position Of Running Mate In Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya

After weeks and months of debate in the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance over who should be deputized as the coalition’s flagbearer, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in August polls, the chairman of the board has convened a meeting to resolve the confusion among its members.

According to the meeting held on Thursday 21st at the Kenyatta International Conference Center, the Azimio-One Kenya coalition party has decided on at least five people to deputize Raila. The council secretary, Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Muhammed, stated that the council resolved to appoint an advisory panel to recommend suitable candidates for the deputy slot for nominations to the presidential candidate.

“The council has resolved to appoint an advisory panel to recommend suitable candidates for the deputy slot for nominations to the presidential candidate,” Junet said.

According to council sources, the leaders have already agreed on five potential coalition running mates for consideration, including Wiper party leader Stephen Kalonzo, Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua, Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, and CS Agriculture Peter Munya.
