As new details emerge, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has issued new orders before former Prime Minister Raila Odinga travels to the United States of America for a week beginning April 21st.
As Azimio Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga prepares to travel to the United States of America for a one-week visit, the Chair of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, Wafula Chebukati, has issued a notice to all those contesting for the presidency, informing them that they have until April 28th to submit hames of their running mates.
However, in response to Chebukati’s orders, the Azimio la Umoja team has stated that they are not in a rush to name Raila Odinga’s running mate, with Jubilee Party Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni stating that “there is time, all the time.”
The United Democratic Alliance Party, on the other hand, has responded by saying that they agree with Chebukati’s orders and are fully prepared to release the name of their preferred running mate to deputize DP Ruto.
“We are fully prepared for that, and we will make it available to Kenyans at the appropriate time.” We are not running late. We’re not arguing about it like the other side is. “You can see how quiet we are and know we’re ready,” said UDA National Chairman Johnson Muthama.
