Francis Atwoli, Secretary General of Cotu, has finally broken his silence in Khwiser sub-county, just a few days after the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) held its party nominations ahead of the August polls.
Francis Atwoli, who was in Khwisero sub-county during Herman Okeno’s burial, believes Ruto will lose the August election due to low voter turnout for UDA nominations in Central Kenya. He claimed that central Kenyans are enraged and want nothing to do with the UDA or its leader as a result of Ruto’s incitement of his allies and residents against their son and leader, President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He also stated that Western Kenya is a stronghold for Raila, and that all strong Member of Parliament aspirants were united with their people under Azimio for Raila Odinga.
Atwoli stated that all Mudavadi MP aspirants in Kakamega defected to ODM because Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula went to work with Ruto as individuals, and he urged Khwisero people to vote out Kenya Kwanza leaders, referring to them as affiliated leaders.
Member of Parliament Aseka Miradi, who recently joined the ODM, has stated that they will campaign for Raila and deliver Western votes to Azimio.
He thanked voters in the Central and Rift Valley for rejecting leaders who used to insult ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Atwoli asked Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to refrain from making too many demands and instead focus on campaigning for Raila Odinga’s presidency. He advised Kalonzo that if he has a pressing issue, he should approach Azimio’s key partners, Raila, or President Uhuru Kenyatta directly rather than through the media or his allies.
