Machakos Governor has faulted OKA for excluding other partis in Azimio Alliance which is about inclusion and not exclusion citing the statement issued by OKA concerning it`s reservation with the registration of Azimio coalition party.
Alfred Mutua, said he wished that the objective is to unite the entire country to be able to accelerate economic development, saying the unity of the political party is Key, even as he discloses how suprised he is that OKA advocating for exclusion of 20 other political parties who signed up to form Azimio la Umoja.
OKA according to Mutua has brought a divide after it insisted that that its document be reinstated, which only creates power base for three parties only, Jubilee, ODM and Wiper, with the document heavily laced with phrases and jargons that has led to zoning and giving preference to the said parties.
Mutua, disclosed that the other parties endorsed Raila Odinga through a democratic process of delegates and thought the same should be applied to the choosing of a Deputy President a move that Raila Odinga in order to settle all the issues, chaired a meeting with Azimio where a Mwanzo Mpya representing all other parties in Azimio was admitted into the leadership apex from the initial 7 representatives 11 in the spirit of inclusivity, where also the phrases that promoted zoning were removed and a running mate decision postponed to a later date.
“Why would anyone want to exclude others in a movement of Umoja?” Mutua asks.
