A family is in mourning following the death of their daughter Rael Akech, who was discovered dead in a Saudi Arabian cell.
According to a Citizen tv news report, Rael was arrested for minor offenses, but she later decided to end her life by strangling herself with a piece of clothing.
Rael informed her parents prior to her death that she was having difficulties in Saudi Arabia and that she intended to commit suicide. Rael Akech’s final words were “Mum Lazima Nijinyoge.”
The death of Akech has given Kenyans a headache, as many people have begun to react positively to the incident.
The family is once again in mourning over the death of Rael’s mother, who collapsed upon hearing the news that her daughter had died.
The father is in deep grief and has requested assistance from the Kenyan government.
