Raila’s ally claims ‘dirty’ political tactics are being used in the Rift Valley ahead of the August elections.

Junet Mohammed, a Suna East Member of Parliament, has made serious allegations about what is allegedly going on in the vote-rich Rift Valley region in the run-up to the August general elections.

On Sunday morning, the fiery Orange Democratic Movement legislator took to Twitter to claim that the region has been held hostage in the election since 1992.

He claims that citizens are forced to vote a certain way, which his team (Azimio la Umoja) is working to change.

From 1992 onwards, democratizing the Rift Valley has primarily been a quest to defeat violent lords.” During this election, entire communities are being kept hostage, forced to vote in a specific manner. This cannot be tolerated. Junet Mohammed stated, “We will destroy the sponsors of this terror.”

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s chopper was stoned in Uasin Gishu when he was paying last respects to Mzee Jackson Kibor, according to the Minority Whip in the National Assembly.

Three regional politicians have been summoned to provide information about the investigations: David Kiplagat (Uasin Gishu Speaker), Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), and Caleb Kositanyi (Soy).
