For the first time, Moses Kuria, MP for Gatundu South, has sent a strong message without insulting anyone. Following several weeks of media speculation about which side she would support, Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua officially joined the Azimio La Umoja alliance.
In a ceremony held yesterday at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi, the iron lady stated that her party had resolved to join the Azimio Alliance because it is the only party of selfless leaders who have put the interests of the nation first and fought for the country’s second liberation.
In her speech, Karua referred to ODM leader Raila Odinga as a comrade for what she called a shared struggle to ensure the nation’s interests are always put first.
However, there is one person who did not see Karua crossing to the other side of the river coming. That is none other than Moses Kuria, the leader of the Chama Cha Kazi party.
Kuria, speaking through his social media account, congratulated Karua on his decision to join the opposing political party. He wished her the best of luck.
“I respect my sister Martha Karua’s decision to join Azimio, just as she respected my decision to join Kenya Kwanza Alliance. Kenya will win in the end, and democracy will triumph. May the best team triumph.” Kuria wrote.
Kenyans, as expected, reacted to Kuria’s message. They have sided with him this time because he did not use insulting language.
Kenyans’ reactions are listed below.
