Honourable Martha Karua, via her social media account, has urged her supporters to remain calm and stated that there is no need for them to be concerned about which camp she will support ahead of the 2022 elections.
It is not necessary, according to her, for a person to join a specific party or coalition in order to survive politically, nor is it an emergency.
Karua went on to say that she can choose to join any political party before or after the elections, or she can choose not to join at all.
“Article based on genuine or feigned ignorance. There is no requirement for an individual or party to join a coalition, and joining one is not required in an emergency. It can happen before or after elections, or it can happen at all “Martha Karua stated.
Martha Karua stated this in response to a Kenyan magazine’s claim that she was in limbo after her former teammates from OKA and Mt Kenya Forum split, with some supporting Raila and others Ruto.
Karua, on the other hand, has shown no interest in joining any political party. Karua refuted claims that she was going to attend UDA’s NDC after failing to attend Raila’s endorsement for presidency.
“Martha Karua skipped the Azimio meeting where Raila was endorsed for president the other day. Tomorrow, she will attend the UDA NDC, where DP William Ruto will be endorsed for the presidency.” Silvia Wangeci stated.
Despite Moses Kuria’s endorsement for the running mate position, Martha Karua refused to accept it and stated unequivocally that she would run for governor in the 2022 election. Martha has been at the forefront of bringing the people of Mt Kenya together through the area forum.
“We are diverse, but we share a common goal on Mount Kenya and other broad issues,” said Martha Karua.
