Today, Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto will lead thousands of delegates from his UDA party in a show of support for him as the party’s official flag bearer.
Several leaders from the Kenya Kwanza alliance are expected to attend the event today, according to sources.
However, there has been a significant shift since the media was ousted from the arena by the UDA party leadership.
The MC of the day, MC Jessy, who is also running for the Imenti Parliamentary seat, has revealed that the party has told the media not to come to the Kasarani Indoor Arena for at least an hour while they discuss some internal issues.
The incident caused an uproar on the internet with angry internet users wanting to know what was happening in the arena.
In time, a few leaders, including ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wetangula, Moses Kuria, Kabogo, were all expected to win the by-elections to nominate Dr Ruto as their preferred president of the Kenyan Kwanza Alliance.
