The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party of William Ruto suffered a significant blow today when two of its close allies defected to Raila Odinga’s Azimio La Umoja.
This comes after the hustler nation was ruled by the party’s national treasurer, Omingo Magara.
Omingo is a Raila Odinga native from the Kisii district of Nyanza. Magara stated that he has left the UDA party and would now focus on the Jubilee party to run for Kisii county governor.
Omingo represents the former South Mugirango seat and has proven to be a dependable leader for the hustler nation.
Kanini Kega, the party’s National Director of Elections, welcomed him to the ruling party.The Kinangop member of parliament, honourable Kwenya Thuku, was the second lease to abandon the hustling nation, joining the jubilee party.
In an interview with Inooro facebook, which was also uploaded on his Facebook page, the congressman stated that he has taken time and agreed to return after realizing all of the positive things the administration has done in his region.
“I cannot regret me decision to leave the hustler Nation. Since I started supporting the government, more development has been done compared to what was done by my predecessors. UDA is a Rift Valley party, let’s strengthen our own jubilee party,” he said
