Raila Odinga and Azimio have been severely criticized by a major ODM leader and aspirant for governor in Kajiado County. David Nkendianye has stated unequivocally that there was a plan to shortchange him in the nomination process in favor of Joseph Ole Lenku.
Nkendianye has stated unequivocally that he is privy to secret details and a likely line-up in the August 9th polls. He makes it obvious that he is aware that Jubilee is in talks with Raila’s Azimio in order to exclude him from mediated democracy because Lenku is already a jubilee governor.
Ole Lenku has already stated his intention to run for re-election on August 9th through the Jubilee party, which is affiliated with President Uhuru Kenyatta. However, given the current state of affairs, Nkendianye may have been deceived by his ODM party, which may not field a candidate in Kajiado.
Nkendianye has, however, left room for speculation, and there are suspicions that he may join forces with other teams other than Azimio. But, as usual, it’s a matter of waiting and seeing what happens in the end, because we certainly live in intriguing times.
